Access Consultancy
Our primary specialism (our raison d'etre) is the provision of consulting services on access to publicly accessible buildings, embracing all sectors of the business community. We cater to the private, public and non-profit sectors; in short, anywhere the general public can seek access to a service, whether paid or unpaid. Although there is no legal requirement for an access audit of a building, they are however identified in the (DDA) as good practice and become wholly recognized (by judicial third parties) when implementing the 'test of reasonableness', in the event of a claim of discrimination. The forthcoming legislation dictates that all service providers, must facilitate reasonable adjustments to 'physical barriers' likely to affect those of our society (both young and elderly) with any form of disability. However, the type of disability is not so important, as the need to cover all disabilities is the general pursuit of this legislation. Total compliance to the (DDA), is a determined goal and not a definitive position to be achieved by both employers and serviced providers.
