* Company Profile *

Accessable Advice is a unique firm of Chartered (Quantity) Surveyors. Like other innovative and technologically adept construction economists, we offer an array of property related services, embracing development feasibility, construction and asset management. However, Accessable Advice specialize in the provision of 'access-able' buildings. We maintain unchallenged knowledge of (BS 8300:2001) and (Part III) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, (DDA), and as such remain 'proactively aware' of the ramifications of such legislation with particular reference to the duties and obligations expected of all service providers. The Act, applies to all sectors of the public and private business community and there are a finite number of publicly accessible places that will remain exempt.

In today's fast changing world, the myriad challenges facing the (UK) real estate industry, grow more and more complex. We are increasingly aware that disabled people have and continue to face massive discrimination. The 'psychological' interpretation of the (DDA) can be quite overwhelming, particularly for the 'multi-site' service provider, however, for those who operate from within a single location the (DDA) can be equally daunting. We also know that the challenges faced by today's society (including circa. 9 million registered disabled people) cannot be met with traditional services alone. We understand the individual needs of our clients and innovatively apply both traditional skills and new technologies to deliver discrete, cost effective and inclusive solutions.

With over 20 years of professional, hands on experience, we offer 'strategic guidance' to our clients on the provision of their inherent '2004 obligations' under the (DDA), which remain exhaustive. We would like to confirm that there is no specific duty to 'comply' with the (DDA), only to make 'reasonable adjustment(s) to physical barriers', a concept which by definition remains wholly subjective.

The skill base offered within our management team encapsulates wide-ranging facets of professionalism with notable memberships and affiliations to the following professional organisations;

  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
  • Chartered Institute of Building
  • Association of Cost Engineers
  • Chartered Institute of Housing
  • Centre for Accessible Environments
